2005 Carrera vs Carrera S
I believe you literally bought the car I wanted, and called just a bit late on. It was metallic gray, and in a Chicago suburb. I've been very depressed about losing out on it, as this was my "perfect" car. And, I've seen nothing else close in quality or price. Given what you got it for, I think I'm even more depressed now. I have to go and hide the live ammmunition now.

I hope you get tremendous enjoyment from the car for many years. You got a wonderful deal on a superb automobile. That was literally THE best car I saw, and targeted, all things considered, in four solid months of extensive looking. A completely unexpected financial snafu that was someone elses fault delayed my call by half a day. I can only hope for something remotely similar. Congrats.

Is there anyone close by the CherryHill dealership that could do a quick check on it for me? Curious to quality of body repair or signs of frame damage. For the price its very tempting for a street/track toy. I have been trying to find a low optioned 06 C4 for year round daily driving and track play. Thanks
So I am bargin shopping for a 911 and I have to say that the later year 2005's are listed at a crazy low price. My question is while I always look at the Carrera S I found a silver\black 2005 non-S 6 speed no full leather, or chrono but with 11k miles it is listed at $39900 at a Porsche\Audi Dealer near me.
Question is should I hold out for the "S" and one with more options or go with a good price on the standard?

Seems like the going rate! I too saw an 05 C2 (silver-blk) 10k odo, PASM, 19in Lobsters, priced @ $39.9k @ Cherryhill Porsche! I told a friend that he should really look into it! Wait could we be looking @ the same car! IMO, thats a great price for a low mileage C2! C2S are still in the $50k range w/ that kind of mileage! If I were in the market, that would be in my garage!

I agree that the price sounds good .
As for how a car " looks :.. even the most crashed up salvage title cars can look beautiful on a used car lot .
In short --if it looks too good to be true .. it probably isn't.
Looks like it is a overhead lamp switch, which I'm sure the dealer will replace.
Unless that car is a CPO "Porsche" has nothing to do with it .

Came across this one on ebay similar price...more options (full leather, etc) I don't like the wheels as much. But now we are talking miles with 55k miles.

that car has been for sale a long time. i can't imagine why the dealer hasn't fixed that light switch yet. not a good sign. i worry about the accident too. attractive price, but there are a lot of nice C2 cars out there.
