Ducktails

After seeing pics of that new 911 it's time to talk about ducktails. I always thought it would look great on a 997 but have never seen good pics. Whose gonna get one now? Start posting pics of ducktails

I'm a fan of the ducktail - even on the 997. I like retro flair on modern cars.

I recommend people take a look at that new Classic in motion - there is a posted video at autoblog.com. It looks good.

I don't want to offend anyone but the reason I don't own a GT3 is the damn huge 2-tier tail. It's just not for me. Ducktails are nice.

Same here, I put a gt3 front on my car but the wing is a little much IMO. The ducktail will balance out the look without looking too boy racer.

I'm a big ducktail fan and have been waiting to offset the GT3 front bumper to find the right one. I'm trying to find out of they (the only ones I know of are the Misha and MAShaw) are compatible with the cab (moving cowl). If there are any other options, I'd like to know. I see that the new special edition 997 has one. Looks cool, but it would probably cost more than my whole car - if you could even buy the piece!

I've got one for my 81', going to do an RS replica with it when I get around to it. I'll post up some pictures.

I love the look on the water-cooled stuff as well. We might try something similar on the 996 just for kicks.

When I get another Porsche, it will be one with a ducktail!

I guess I'm in the minority here, but I don't like them on the modern cars. Messes up the lines of the car.

GTSilver997 is infamous around these parts
The Ma Shaw one is really nice. That's the look I'd go with if I were to install any aftermarket rear spoiler. Any pics in profile?
