What should I expect to pay (either in dollars or shop hours) to install:

1) AWE mufflers and headers.

2) AWE mufflers, headers, and cats.

Never having done any type of exhaust work on my previous cars before, I'm just trying to get an idea. Thanks so much in advance.

 

I would say around $400-500 max...

It all depends on the labor rate... Shouldn't take more than 4 hours!

 

It took me about 3.5hrs to install my full exhaust including the disassemble of the OEM parts. You are looking in the range of $400-500. You may be able to get it down to $350

Figure $60-70 for the right tools that you'll own forever whatever add'l for jacks and/or jack stands, and you can do it yourself. The sense of satisfaction and pride is like someone writing you a check for $500!

Dealer quoted me 2.5 hours @ $140 per.

I had an indy install my cats/mufflers for $200.

I hung out and bs'd with him during the install and felt it was money well spent. It would have taken me 5 hours if I had to guess.

 

Thanks for the responses so far. I'll consider the DIY thought but probably more than I want to tackle. Sounds like a 2.5 to 4 hours at the most.

If anybody else has come across anything differently, please feel free to chime in.
