Thoughts:

- The 997.2 PDK is a FUN car for autocross. Fast acceleration, fast brakes, great steering, etc. 6 weeks after buying mine I have ZERO buyer's remorse.
- Sport Plus on and the PDK in auto makes for fast shifts!
- I finished last in my class. In my case (new to autocross), the 911 S is waaay too much car for a newbie driver. But who cares, I'm doing this for fun Actually, it was surprising how few people were in the higher classes ( a lot of older boxsters, who smoked me anyway regardless of class! )
- Event was held by the local PCA club... friendly people and very professionally administrated... I was impressed with the timing equipment, cameras, event went on time/as scheduled, etc.
- I didn't wreck or damage the car so the day was a success regardless of how I placed. Autocross was a very economical way to get some racing adrenaline pumping through my blood.
- My car got a lot of compliments, people liked the green and the wheels.

I was in the Red VW R32, your Car looked awesome w/ the Green and Black combo. I was following you on Grand for a while admiring your taillights. I thought you had a manual for sure because of the long time u spent in high RPM's over by the first Right hander. Very Nice color combo either way.

p.s. that's why I love the PDK, even in auto mode with Sport Plus on it's not afraid to redline!

 

looks like a fun event. don't worry about your place yet, you're only in competition with yourself the last time you ran. as long as your time keeps improving, that's all that matters.
