So Cal Springs Installation Places.

Does anyone know of a good reputable shop for Porsche in the Orange County Area? I won't just let any shop work on my car. For now, I just need someone to put in the springs, but that does require tearing out the back seats, and I've had bad experiences in the past where the "mechanics" werent too careful w/ the upsholstery.

I got quoted about $400 incl alignment at EF1 Motorsports in LB. Anyone got any experience w/ them? I think they are just a general performance car place w/ no specilaization on any makes.

Got quoted like $550 at Johnson's Alignment and CEC Wheels. I think these two are really good as they specialize in POrshe and Techart products.

What do u guys think? Too much? Fair Price? I don't mind paying a little more for quality work.

Thanks!

Spoke to a gentleman name Fabris, $725. Hmmmm.
I also called a few plc around here and they charge $125 per hour, at an average of 7-8 hours job they anticipated for this car. That's about a grand to drop the springs. Wowww.

GMG and of course Stuttgart / RSS ----> both sponsors, both highly reputable in the OC.

My advice is to pick the place to align it carefuly, make sure they know their way around a Porsche.

Not sure about CA but in MA standard price in any good shop is $1K for CO install and $200 for subsequent alignment.

Don't pay too much, EF1 will do it just fine! I had my coilovers installed there before, and Fab from EF1 does a top notch job. Just because the price is good doesn't mean the work isn't good.

FYI, the back seats do not have to be removed! The "carpet / padding " material behind the back seat simply pulls off like velcro. This reveals the shock mounting nuts.

Got it done at Johnson's Alignment

Thanks for all the feedback guys. It was just a simple spring job..I didn't want to pay too much for it, nor did I wanted just anyone to do it, so I trusted my experience w/ Johnson's. I paid $600 total cause I put in the spacers for me as well, and I am very satisfied. This included the alignment as well. I recommend them. Took them exactly 4 hours to do the job....
