oops, yeah, i meant the seller... i wasnt thinking as i was a bit angry at his lack of understanding...

he was saying that i shouldnt worry about anything, because the porsche warranty is so great. personally, i dont see why that means i shouldnt do a through examination of the car... now im wondering if i was asking too much?

texts from his 2 emails:

I hear ya. The service records are a no brainer, but turning the car over to an independent guy who I don't know makes me way nervous. You are a nice guy and I respect your thourougness. But, I have an easier path. Btw, Porsche is great about warranty work, even when it's a little over the time. Good luck to you!

Respectfully, I am going to go with a less hasle deal. Good luck with your Porsche search. They are awesome cars

Who were you going to have do the PPI? I would have to agree that if somebody wanted to buy my car and have some shop that I was not familiar do a PPI, I would probably pass as well. When I bought my car, the seller and I agreed to have the PPI done at a local Porsche dealership. He drove the car there and dropped it off and I paid for the PPI.

Heres my take...the guy probable doesn't have much to hide but he is selling a car he probable paid top dollar for a price thats making him cringe.

Then he's asked to do more and more to get the deal. He thinks he doing you a favor giving the car away so cheap. So he keeps annoyed. It happens.

Did you run a carfax. They are not fool proof but you can get some info on service records.

Anyhow...you'll find another

if he would have insisted i went to pioneer porsche, i would have done so... or at least commented with some feedback, fine i can work with it. instead, it was a hasty reaction of "f u im selling the car to someone else"... i didnt expect this as he seemed very friendly last night... i totally understand the point of strangers...

i did a carfax, and NO service records showed up... only the registration events -purchase in AZ, change of registration as he moved to CA... for that reason, i at least wanted to verify that he completed the services as he said, and also just wanted to glance over the inspection. lastly, i just wanted to get a DME printout for peace of mind.
