Just stopping in to drool
Just registered because I'm lookng at getting a new Audi possibly but stopping in here because I REALLY want a new 911. Too bad that 20 grand (plus, pluusss, or minus) difference in cost is a bit too far for me to jump.
(OP subconsciously posts here in deluded attempt that someone will tell him how to afford that bid difference in price)

Whatever you do NOT drive one. That is what got me. Went to the dealer to order a 2010 M3, and while at the dealership the salesman offered a test drive in a C2S with PDK. Wow! No way I could go back to the Bimmer. Just picked up the 2009 C4S last week. The smile that is still on my face every time I look out in the garage is well worth the extra $20k.

Which Audi is that? The diff to a 911 is only $20k? That Audi is expensive.

.
The Audi I'm looking at is the S5 cabrio and I questimated the top of the line Audi from what I saw as the lowest cost 911. Would think about a Cayman but I need backseats for the kiddoes.

I bought an 2005 Audi S4 (new) wanted a Porsche 997, but couldn't afford it. Within 13 months I was driving a 2006 997C2S. The only regret was not buying the Porsche sooner!
Find a good CPO'd one and you will never think about the Audi that got away!

definitely go used. I made the expensive mistake of buying a new M3 and then trading it in within a year.
Also, when you buy a used 911, you can be more confident that it won't depreciate as quickly as the new Audi.
Don't be scared to try out the 911. See what feels right for you before making your decision, or you may end up costing yourself more $ or anxiety.
