I have a set on my 996 and really like the way they look. Much more appealing and much less than the RUF ones.

That seems like a good deal. I have the Rennline pedal set which has the toe and/or heel extentions for the gas pedal. Others on this forum have them if you do a search. Good luck either way

Here's a picture of them on my 986...

I've seen them on some 997s and don't think they flow as well.

They are a nice quality and if you put them on, just make sure you use loc-tite on the threads. Also, start w/ the brake pedal first as it's hardened and has the most restrictions on placement. You can easily match up the clutch pedal to the brake pedal for a clean install.

How hard are they to install? Any drilling involved?

Drilling is a little tricky - use either a center punch or drill a pilot hole with a smaller bit, particularly on the brake and clutch pedals. Other wise not too bad.

Yes, the ad says drilling required... ehhh. It would be nice if it didn't require drilling.

Drilling and the next mod?

thanks for the advice. I am glad they are drilled...don't want them coming off while driving. I will use a very small good quality drill bit for the first pilot hole, then drill larger. I will do the brake pedal first and use Locktite. I presume these go over the existing rubber lined Porsche pedals? After the pedals, I will have done 2 mods to my 911 S Cab. The steering wheel and the pedals. I really like the seats and the gearshift. So everything I touch I will be happy with. What other mods should I do? ...I prefer the car to look stock...not a big fan of carbon fiber nor the non Oem wheels. Suggestions?
thanks,
Marc

The rubber brake and clutch pedals come off, and the new ones are screwed to the metal, however the gas pedal mounts over the rubber one and the foot rest also.

Using a ti drill bit for the starter hole also makes it easier.

A vise or clamp would help in lining up the pedals before drilling. You can buy 2 small vises from Home Depot or Lowe's and use them.
