I have had no issues of anything coming off under boost.....mine is an early kit too.As far as running a boost gauge...I ran a hand held one, that is plumbed in AFTER the throttle body, when logging data.My original kit with the 3.8" pulley was making 4 psi of boost, where I am measuring it,and now with a smaller pulley I am making a true 6 psi.

911 James is infamous around these parts
Thanks for the reply. I'm running a 3.6" pulley. 3.48" might be in the future when I learn a little more. I was wondering, do the 997's have a longer lip on the throttle body than the 996's?

Not sure about the lip on the throttle body but I changed all of my clamps when I installed the kit.

The 3.6" pulley is the pulley that was used for the 996's(3.6L)...on the 997 the standard pulley is 3.8".

Thank you for sharing all these information !
I have a tiptronic model, I share the same feeling that the car is not as fast as I thought it should be. But I did 0-400 meter run with a F430, I was faster - this F430 did the same run with a 997 GT3-RS, and the F430 was faster at the end !!
What I'm saying is 'feeling' is very subjective.

I ran a F430 spider from a roll of 40ish to around 130ish. I took him by a car length. That made me smile
