I think its a thing that enhances the throttle response if im not mistaken? Doesnt give you any real power though.. but its good at what it claims it does.

This is what the sprintbooster website says;

"SprintBooster sends an improved signal to the ETC (Electronic Throttle Control) which is amplified or "boosted" so that throttle is noticeably more responsive throughout the entire rpm range sends an improved signal to the ETC (Electronic Throttle Control) which is amplified or "boosted" so that throttle is noticeably more responsive throughout the entire rpm range"

It sounds half decent without doing any ECU programming...

From their website
• Sprint Booster does not increase Horsepower.
• Sprint Booster does not reduce your 0-60mph times.
• Sprint Booster DOES make your car 'FEEL' faster

You are circumventing the ECU to provide improved throttle response.

I figure this is the most appropriate place to post some initial thoughts on the SB.

Cons:
1) I'd like to address the quality of the unit. There seems to be a lot of mixed feelings in terms of the SB's build. I have to say that I am far from impressed. It is made from plastic that has that kind of give akin to wax. The unit does not lock in securely, so the concerns of safety are valid (though easily resolved with a couple of zip ties). One would (and should) assume that the unit would come from the factory with a secure fit once plugged. Not the case here, regardless of how adamant the sponsor(s) may be in their claims otherwise.
2) I'm not sure the lag in drive by wire cars being eliminated is a fair claim. This was actually the biggest reason for me wanting to try the product and I feel it falls short.

Pros:
There is really only one pro.
The throttle response is improved. I imagine the "feel" everyone talks about is the seemingly increased torque, as there is definitely no change in hp. I have yet to try it in sport mode, but definitely feel an improvement without. The accelerator is more responsive. I imagine it may very well be a signal amplifier, but for the money, its a simple DIY solution and the car drives much closer to what I would deem ideal in green mode. Of course, this is subjective, but it is enough for me in my decision to keep the unit. If it works as well in sport mode, than I'm stoked. I'll be testing the red in sport mode first chance I get to hit the canyon.
As the opening sentence indicates, these are initial thoughts. I'm sure there is more to be said once I am better acquainted with it. For now all I can say is more than a mere gimmick, but not all that it claims to be.

May be one of the best items that I have installed in my 05 997 base carrera. Since I do not have the "sports mode" option, the throttle response is fast and I enjoy driving much more. Try it. The cost is a lot less that a software modification.

I had this installed on a 997S about six months ago and love it. I keep the setting on "sport". The performance shop that installed it was so sure that I would like it that they have offered to remove it and refund if I ever become dissatisfied. I'm keeping it.

The throttle response feels quicker even with the sports mode off. I like this because the ride is more comfortable for the passengers when the suspension isnt in the sports mode but i get the benefit from a quicker response to pedal input.

I find heal toe shifting also easier as the distance i have to press the accelerator is also decreased to blip the revs.

In the sports mode i "feel" like i am driving a carrera S even though my 997.2 is only 350hp. I know the actual 0-60 time doesnt change with the Sprint Booster but it sure "feels" that way.

The sprint booster, imo, makes the car more response and to me translates to better drivablilty and ultimately more fun! I also installed one in my 2006 Cayenne S.
