Had one...
Had one installed in my ex-AMV8. It was pretty good, saved me a few times driving around on long roadtrips. I didn't keep it on much for normal driving, as it would keep going off everywhere.
When I got my new 997.2, I installed the new Escort 9500i, which I think is the "newer" version, but with many more features. After a year of use, still not sure if it was worth it or not.....
