Anyone With FVD Mufflers on a 997.2?

I am looking to see if anyone out there has a new 2009 997.2 S with the FVD Brombacher Side Mufflers (Export/Loud Version) and the Center Muffler Delete (either the FVD X-Pipe or some other delete pipe like the Fabspeed X-Pipe or the Sharkwerks Crossover pipe)? I have listened to the FVD promotional video and I am looking for some firsthand feedback on the system and what people think. I have already seen the feedback from the gentleman in Reno who has the full FVD system (headers/200 cell CATS/mufflers) and it sounds great, but I am looking for just the CAT Back set-up. Any opinions and feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yarris1 has it on his 997.2 C2S, as well some of the GT3 guys have the FVD systems.

I have the same system as he does except that I have a lower deciblel version . The car is a daily driver which means parking in indoor garages yet the sound is incredible at WOT. I've been very pleased with the system for the car .

You really should contact Rhonda at FVD US? She is not a BS'er, you can trust her advice after you tell her what you are seeking.

I remain a 100% satisfied customer.

Yes, I have been in contact with Rhonda for quite some while and I have been very impressed with her Porsche expertise and very happy with her recommendations (in fact, I have one of her FVD mufflers on my 2009 Boxster S and it is absolutely fantastic!). I just need a little more info (first hand customer feedback) on the FVD system (Cat Back only) on a 997.2 before I make a decision. Thanks.

The only problem is that the video clip FVD offers on their full system (not only cat back) is too silent...

yrralis1 has also the complete setup, but no video clip

sayboy also has the complete system, but the louder version. He posted links to his track videos and it sounded amazing, but not sure if this is the real sound

Sharkwerks has some nice and very clear videos of their bypass pipe and Tubi exhaust. In this way, as a customer, you can easily get an idea of what you are purchasing

I don't know why FVD doesn't offer such thing...

Yrralis1,
Thanks for the info. Are your FVD Side Mufflers the TUV (Quiet) Version or the Export (Loud) Version? Did you use their FVD X-Pipe or some other center muffler delete? Also, do you have the FVD headers and 200-Cell CATs? Have you made any sound/video clips of your set-up? If you have I would sure like to hear it. The FVD promotional video/audio clip for the 997.2 Mufflers (Export Version) is very short and really doesn't give a very good chance to properly evaluate the sound, IMHO.

First the questions -
I have the complete system -cat's, headers ,mufflers , and their software . I did not get the quiet European version . I also did not get the sound version only because the this car spends a great deal of time in indoor garages . Rhonda was extremely helpful and customized my system . It is not as loud as Sayboy's but it by no means quiet . Send me a PM with your e mail adress and I will send you a clip . I don't have a youtube account and I haven't even filmed the car much .

Ok, cool, we will quit harassing you about contacting her then haha

And thank you for the Boxster comment. I am (insanely/idiotically/moronically) considering a new Spyder and would forego the OE Sport exhaust in lieu of the FVD set up. You just further confirmed that is the correct choice. Thank you Sir!

Sayboy,
Thanks for the reply. If you want more info on the FVD muffler I put on my 2009 Boxster S then take a look at the post I made in the "Boxster/Cayman" section of 6-Speed titled "FVD Muffler on 2009 Boxster S" This FVD muffler on the 987.2 is absolutely fantastic and is so much better than the Boxster PSE. Send me a PM with any questions.
