Porsche Full Leather

I have the "full" leather in my 997.2 Cab. Is the entire dash leather or just the front stitched edge? What about the A pillars? tks

Probably not. Current Porsche 'full leather' is less than full. To be all leather you have to click a lot of $$ boxes on your order form.

If you "plan" to keep your car for a long time it's a must, as the plastic dash and doors are just plain cheap looking over time, INHO. My Dad's Camry has leather doors, and he ribs me about it every time he gets in my 997S. I bought my car expecting to sell within a year, so I didn't care about leather. Yet here I am 2.5 yrs later, about to add a Supercharger, and keep the car forever, and I'll ultimately add aftermarket leather or buy OEM leather bits which will cost me close to the same as the factory option, without being factory.

Of course, it's standard in a TT.

I have two-tone full leather interior and according to Porsche website, the entire dash (upper and lower), A-pillars, B-pillars, C-pillars, arm rests, center arm rest, glove box cover, door panels, rear compartment panels are in leather.

How much of it is true?

Black Leather: Windshield pillar and frame, B and C pillars, upper dash and instrument hump, steering wheel rim, top of door molding. Sand Beige Leather: Lower dash, side covers of center console, storage lid of center console, gearshift and handbrake lever, door handle, door pocket cover and frame, door center panel, rear side covering. Sand Beige Soft Paint: Dashboard end cover, rear center console, including ashtray lid handle recess cover, handbreak lever, storage box in rear center console, cover of dashboard/frame PDK shift gate, loudspeaker cover, cover of front loudspeaker, door pocket frame. Seats in Black leather. Sunvisors in Black. Carpeting in Sand Beige. Roofliner in Alcantara Black (Coupe).

For conditioning I found nothing better than Sonus Leather Conditiner (used as instructed sparingly). It leaves the leather with its factory low-sheen. Most other products add an unpleasant gloss look.

Do you photos of your interior? This interior, for me, is simply awesome. I'd love to see a bit of it. Great color combo on the interior/exterior that you have. Thanks

This is what I referred too. Still partial leather. The center-rear-console, including the gear-lever surround is not leather. Those parts have too be ordered separately. The accessory bin cover in the rear console may be leather but lacks the stitching - only the optional badge or model embossed ones are full stitched leather. Full leather rear/center console costs upwards of $1.8k, beyond the std 'full leather' interior. PAG gets us at every step.

I like that interior TooSixy, much nicer in the pics that how it looks on the Porsche configurator. With the blue exterior, very classy combo, and not the same old Black/Black.

As adidas said, you can check lots of boxes to get more leather. I really like it, and if done over again i would have also done the PCM in leather. Stupid money porsche charges for this stuff but it really completes the interior.

That said, i wish some of the pieces were more "leathery". Even the center console is so hard - it's definitely not plush, like in a ferrari.

here are some pics of the extra pieces i have on my interior.
