Porsche 997 Lowered with Eibach Springs by G Rides, lots of Pictures
We installed Eibach Lowering Springs on 6Speed Member, Axxlrod's Porsche.
The install begins.

Front strut removed.

We use a "Strut Tamer", to compress springs. This is the front strut being compressed for disassembley.

The new Eibachs.

We cleaned and regreased the upper spring mount bearings.

Front Strut with new Eibach Spring, sorry but didn't get a good picture of this reinstalled.

Rear Strut removed.

When loosening or removing Eccentric Bolts, mark their positions first so you can put them back the same way.

Need to access the rear top mounts through the interior.

Rear strut with stock spring.

Rear strut with Eibach Spring.

We like to mark (Red Sharpie) all the components to realign them when reassembled.

Interior put back together.

Rear strut back in with new Eibach Spring.

Done and back on the ground. Car is about 1/2" lower all the way around after some test drive miles. Will put about 100 more miles on to allow the springs to settle and then off for an alignment. The car tracked straight and rode well after the Eibach install and still retained PASM function. Thanks again for the work Axxlrod, we really appreciate it.

Car is getting serviced and 4 wheel alignment today.
New wheels should be here next week, and carbon front lip will be installed then also.
We'll post some pics then.

don't you have anything more useful to add?
Anyways, I've heard these Eibachs ride much better than their H&R counterparts, but do not lower the car by as much. Has anyone had the opportunity to compare the two? Also, since PASM cars sit about 20mm lower than non-PASM cars, does this stay true after installing the springs?

as C/O systems are PASM specific, are springs the same way? Or do 997 springs fit all types (S and non-S.. PASM and non-PASM)? I've noticed from some retailer sites that they do not make you specify so I assume it is fits one, fits all...
It is interesting to know that it's not a 1:1 relationship with spring and lowering based on PASM/ non-PASM. I wonder how and why that is?

The TechArts are basically the Eibachs. If you have PASM they will only lower the car 15mm which is fine for PASM vehicles. If you lower the car more than 1" or 25mm the stock struts will always be out of range in my opinion and hence some of the problems we have heard about with PASM equipped cars and the H&R spring.
