Where can I find it?

I am assuming you bought the cover pre-painted in the factory color?

Thanks.
You can find it here:
http://www.techspeed.de/?US-Umr%FCstung

They sell it painted (OEM color) and without paint.
I like the 997 style much more without the bumperettes.

Yes, I ordered it directly there. I recommend to use the phone to contact them. I had no luck via emails.

Update: Parts are on the way to bumperplugs.

It was a hell of work to disassemble the units and get all the buttons out of it.
My personal recommendation: If you are chronically nervous or in general not much patient, don't even think about this mod.
It's comparable to perform a knee surgery to a tree frog.

Nice, that's like a $2000 option through Porsche!

The first set of parts came back from painting. To put all the stuff together is much easier than disassembling it. And lucky me no screws, buttons or electronic parts remained left.

The painted look became much nicer than I expected.

I am looking forward to install it in the car again.

Cheers.

Since even in Michigan the winter seems to have gone (we survived !!!), I finally had let her out again. I already forgot how great it is to drive this car, especially with her new sound.

I just want to show you the result of some hours I spent in my garage in the last couple of months while it was freaking cold outside. (see photos)

I also bought the Durametric Prof cable to activate the PSE and to change some settings.

Hope you like it.

Cheers.

PS: I still plan to retrofit the parking assist system, but I am a little hesitant to drill the holes in my bumper.

Love what you have done. I have a similar MY06 C4S Cab. Curious if you had any luck deactivated the annoying map warning. Painting the radio stack looks great though I may heed your warning. BTW - I installed the full AWE system and have been very happy but if you have PSE probably not worth it.

Now the sad part. My back bumper cover was scrapped in a parking lot (this somehow in spite of my parking in the far rear of the lot around no one). May end up being a gift - the body shop is replacing the rear bumper cover with the park assist and the sensors and I plan on having the dealer wire it. I bit of a pain and an expensive way to go but probably worth the trouble. We'll see. Why anyone whould have ordered a 100K car without it is the mystery.

Unfortunately not. I learned that even in Germany that have this map warning so unfortunately it does not seem to be something which can be coded.

Yes, for me it is also a mystery. I guess people in the US haven't realized yet how comfortable parking assist is. In the past there was a good reason not to order them because of very big and ugly sensors, but nowadays they are barely visible. Most probably I will go with an aftermarket solution to avoid complicated wiring.

btw: if somebody is interested in two basalt black bumperettes, please send me a PM.
