Twin turbo kits for 997 and 996 models

Gentleman,

There has been a lot of interest on turbocharging the 996 and 997 for more power. We had been spending our time on building a kit for the GT3
which is now completed, and in the last few months have decided to move on to the 996 and 997. So, here we are with a nice twin turbo kit using the latest in turbocharger technology and wastegates to boot. The turbos are twin ball bearing Garretts, Tial external wastegates, 6 new injectors, and twin water to air intercoolers that work very well in lowering and maintaining charge temps. We have used our past experience in developing a kit that not only delivers the performance, but is also of high quality in components and workmanship.

You may have seen some pics on boochoock's thread of the kit. A lot of time in the design and engineering of the kit went into making it extremely easy to install so the DIY'er can do this at home in his garage. On the same token it is completely reversable and you can make the car run N/A in a matter of hours. We are very proud of that with the only major changes to the car being two 3" holes cut for charge hose routing, which are in the same location as the stock TT hoses. Two body plugs would cover them up and no one would know the difference. We are very particular about cutting up a car and not being able to reverse the changes, and surely there are quite a few of you out there who feel the same.

Hope that we can contribute in making the cars better and faster so you guys can enjoy them more. Think about it is like a new girlfriend that you need to discover everything about her.

Looks like a nice system. Question though, does this kit bypass the mufflers? I see the turbochargers in place of the mufflers.

Mufflers

V35

Yes it bypasses the mufflers. We have a set up for mufflers and for those that want the whistle of turbos no muffler. The silencer is an in line high performance muffler that does not affect the performance of the system.

Easy to build the kit, heck,I thought about building one myself...problem is always TUNING in these cars!
So I was just wondering what kind of power they made with the 996 and IF they had any problems!
OH and BTW guys what you have built looks really clean/good!

I am sure that you can figure out how to tune your car. Start with a 50 cent resistor and a laptop

That was just for fine tuning the supercharger set-up for MORE boost. These 'new' set-ups are a bit more advanced and I do not believe they use a RESISTOR on the #5 wire of the MAF,LOL!

Stacy

PS But I am anxious to see the dyno results or better yet if boochook
would want to run my Gtech to compare with our results!

Does look really cool. I see the kit has twin intercoolers as well. Where do they go? Be interesting to see the intake routing from the turbos and the new intake. Cool stuff.

i think twin turbo does not change the weight ratio in the rear axle as other applications with sc or one turbo

I think the kit has one inter-cooler and it is air to water and it goes where the factory air box use to be.

Intercoolers

Guys

The kit has 2 intercoolers going into a common plenum. Technically is one but 2 sides.

It would simplify everything if you could post here dyno measured power numbers at given boost and kit price.
