Color sidewall tires

Can you buy various color sidewalls or are people just doing it somehow themselves? See pic http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...S%3A1123#v4-37

I actually like how the color breaks up the all black wheels and tires to match the car though I am not a fan of orange.

You know that the lip of the wheel is painted orange, right? It is not on the tire.

a little OT but that car... WOW... just wow.

It started life as a '99 C2 and now it looks like an 997TT GT Street

with 80k miles on the odometer i just have to ask why... it's beautiful don't get me wrong and a work of passion/art no doubt... but there's more money poured into the aethestics than the car is mechnically worth

He is going to lose a ton of money on that car. Aside from the restrictive color choice, it has accident history as well.

thor7000 is infamous around these parts
The rims were powder coated with the orange strip...not the tires!!

Curious to find out what their asking price is for a 10+ year old car with high K's and some sort of previous accident. Also find something suspicious about the title...they have it plated, but not registered in Canada?? And still have a U.S title?? when you import a car you have to give up the U.S title before you get plates.

just my observations

As I wrote after the first reply, my mistake, but I can't seem to delete the thread. I have a guy who lives near me with a red 997 with black wheels and he has red sidewalls not a strip on the rim. So, I thought when I glanced at this pic that maybe since they do have red and white, they have other colors. I thought maybe it was a new thing. I mean they used to put neon lights under cars back in the day so colored sidewalls are believable.

I recall that there were drift tires that were designed to produce different coloured smoke, the tires had a bit of a tint overall.
