I need advise on how to remove the seatbelt surround trim. I am getting a slight creaking noise from this area. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

There are clips on the underside. You have to carefully pry that trim piece upward. It is kind of a PITA and as you are doing it you think it's going to break. Just carefully work it upward and it should pop off.


I used a plastic hand squeegee to lift it up with as to not damage the surrounding leather.

Thanks for the hint. It is very tough and the only thing I worry about is scratching the leather.

If you use a rounded piece of softer plastic (obviously has to be somewhat thick to resist bending. The squeegee I used was like a thick credit card) and slide it up underneath you should be fine.
