Anyone done the new Turbo Paddle Wheel Upgrade?
I read the posts (opinions) on upgrading to the new Turbo PDK paddle wheel when Suncoast first announced its availability. I finally went down and looked at the wheel on a 2010 Turbo and really liked the look. So, this morning I splurged on the wheel through Suncoast.
Questions-
1. Has anyone done this upgrade?
If so, impressions?
Any complications on the install?
2. I now have a stock wheel with multi-function...anyone have an idea if that is a sellable item? If so, do you have an idea on the value of a 2009 wheel that has seen 1k miles worth of use?
I will post my impressions one I get the wheel installed.
Thanks for your thoughts.

I did the wheel swap a couple of weeks ago. My dealer charged me 30 minutes labor, which included reprogramming the PCM to tell it I did not have a multi-function wheel installed anymore.
So far, I really like the new wheel with paddles. The paddles work as expected, and the wheel itself is very attractive, in my opinion. I'm glad I made the swap!

I am very interested in doing the upgrade myself. Does in come in all the interior colors that porsche offers?

Thats a good? Your dealer would probably have to enquire about which colors are available. I'm sure they would sell you the part and you could change it yourself.

It's a really nice looking steering wheel.
I know you guys have PDK cars but read a post a couple weeks back stating that someone upgraded their 997 tiptronic steering wheel to a PDK steering wheel. Does anyone know if the Turbo/paddle wheel will work on a 997 tip?
