I am just curious as to their appeal or reasoning over a C2. The "why" part..

 

AWD is better in colder climates.
Corners like glue.
Like the wide body looks.

 

throw some snow tires on there with a roof rack and take it skiing!

 

AWD and the Wider hip looks nicer.

 

AWD is for people who can't drive and will comprimise weight and speed for stability in the corners.

If I didnt track my car and if my 911 was a street only car I would have bought the C4S with PDK. Test drove one and really liked it.

Plus a guy in town has one and I saw him the other day driving around on snowny roads (with snow tires I am sure).

 

I will have to say, even though I can throw any car into a turn very well, I just luv that Fat A$$

I can totally appreciate the snowy road thing but my C2 is unreal in the snow. And I'm talking about above the 49th snow... Not that stuff you guys get down there.

 

The main functional benefit of AWD is for snow and rain driving. Some regions have enough to make an AWD car a good choice.

 

C4/S will be my purchase of choice because I live up North.

When I told my husband I was going to buy a 911 to replace my beemer SUV, he guided me in the 4S direction. I never even test drove the two-wheel drive version. We get lots of snow and rain in our hilly neighborhood... (The '4' was a must have for us...the 'S' was nice to have, although not completely necessary.)

btw - I've picked up that lots of boys in here love the looks of the "wide hips and fat ***" Combined with the V-S clear-bra discussions, topless cab driving, and discussions on nice lines.. it makes me wonder if you subconciously think of your cars as your private dancer/ enslaved aerobic instructor mistresses.
