Exclamation Leaky 997 Cab top?

Hello all,

Looking into getting a 997 cabriolet. Thing is I live in Portland, OR where it rains about 6 months out of the year. Well, not continuously, at least. Has anyone run into problems with leaking tops especially in rainy climates (Pacific NW)? Especially 4+ years into it?

JoeShark, you've got a cab - any issues?

Thanks in advance!

Some do, Some don't. The ones that don't .. don't. The ones that do ... do . When they do they never don't. When they don't they rarely do.

I don't recall ever seeing a complaint about a cab roof leak. They appear to be very well made and trouble free.

Scoper,

Well, first of all, I have to admit I never drive my car if it's raining outside (let the boo's and hissing begin). However, I have been caught in the rain a few times and have had zero leaks anywhere. Of course I wash my car and really drench my car with my hose and have had zero leaks as well.

My car is exposed to rain as I drive it all over the world. 45,000 miles and nearly 4 years--no leaks.

mine leaked when u close the door.. the air trapped inside would push the seals a lil and rain would then leak in.. would never leak otherwise.

I too like JoeShark very rarely take my car out in the rain but have been caught in it and also wash my car religiously, I've had my cab for coming up 3 years and haven't had a problem ever. (knock on wood)
