Track Day Tire Suggestions?
After my RA1 wear out I am thinking of going with this size on R888's
255-35-18 Front
315-35-18 Rear
This will lower the car a little and due to the overall less diameter it will be like gearing the car down. Also since the front and rear are with in the 4% tolerance ABS should not be affected.
What tires are you using in this size, NorthVan?

Northvan - you might consider going 235/35/18 in front on next set. That size with your 315/30/18 rears will give a height to stock ratio of 97% both F&R. That will put car back in stock attitude instead of nose a bit high and should reduce risk of ABS issues. The 235/40 F is actually taller (25.7") than the 315/30 rear (25.6") while the stock tire set up is 25.5"F/ 26.3"R. The 235/35 F is 24.7" tall so gets front end back down and if you do the math, F at 24.7/25.5 = .97 = 25.6/26.3 R so same ratio to stock F&R.
Doubt it makes a big difference but why put more air under front by raising it relative to the rear? And at least theoretically having the same ratio to stock should prevent any quirky ABS behaviour.
I am using the Hoosiers in stock 19" sizes for dry and just ordered 18" Wets as they aren't made in 19" sizes.

How can we tell the difference between old vs new Cups?
If you are looking at the tire, Porsche spec tires have the N0 or N1 on the side wall of the tire following the size designation

"I'm still looking for a set of rain track tires, and centerlock wheels. Choices are limited and prices are high."
One interesting rain option - reportedly Bob Woodman Tires will "rain cut" R888's upon request, am told several racers are using these. Said to be not quite as fast as Hoosier Wets but said to last much longer especially when the rain is not steady and Hoosier Wets would wear out quickly. Haven't tried them yet but next on my list. R888's come in many sizes so this is an interesting option.
