You need to polish and wax those rotors!
When I joined the Porsche Club (NNJR Region) back in the '70's, I got hooked up with the Concours gang and I was cleaning the underside with Q-tips and afraid to drive the car.
It was a habit I fought unsucessfully to break with my 1998 C4S and 1989 930 Slantnose. They were garage queens that, sadly, hardly ever saw the road.
I finally got rid of my Porsches and drove an MX-5 daily for three years before acquiring my current 997 in January. Now, it's in the garage -- but it's the parking garage at work...with dust and dirt on it. I'm cured and drive it every nice day.
I still see the good in giving it a thorough topside, underside, inside the wheels cleaning -- even waxing the brake calipers -- every once in awhile. But now, although still special, it's just "my car" and that's how I drive it, at least on sunny days.
