C2S tires on C4S. Will it work>?

I have an 06 C4 Wide Body 997, which has 305/30/19 tires. Recently ran into a super cheap (free) set of rear tires that came off of an S model, which is 295/30/19. Same brand (MIchelin PS2), and it's got like 90% thread left.

Any ideas if I should put it on though the size is only offff just a tad. It's on OEM 19" rims.

Im pretty **** about putting the correct stuff on my car, but this deal is just too good to pass up. If not I would have to cough up $1200 for the right rear tires at tirerack. PLS PLS PLS advice.

Not an expert, but C4 are wider than C2 or C2S. If you put the S tires on you car they may not fill out the wheel well enough and therefore you would probably need spacers too. I would factor that into the price as well.

Both the NB and WB had the same rear width rim, 19x11. Spacers have nothing to do with these. I think it'll work.

yes, wasn't commenting on whether it would work or not, just how it may look since the tire is slightly narrower.

The rim size is the same but the offsets are different. So you will have to use spacers to 'push' the rim outward to fill in the wheel well. It's probably easier just to have the tires mounted to your current rims. With the rims being the same size, that tire will fit your rims and I don't think you'll notice the 10mm difference in tire size.

Thanks guys! I was going to replace the new tires on my existing rims. I understand that the NB rims will not work on the WB unless a spacer is involved.

I would look at the load ratings too, just to be sure the narrower sizes can carry the loads required by your car (if different). All of this info is in the owners manual and/or on the tire sidewalls.

This subject has gotten very confused in this thread. You said you were only looking at using the tires, not different wheels. So spacers don't enter the equation. You will hardly see any difference between the 305 tires and the 295 tires. The 305's are typically used on 11.5" rims and the 295's on 11" rims. Wheels like Carrera Sports are 11.5", and thus get fitted with 305's. Some people may suggest that 295 tires will be a little stretched on 11.5" rims, but I don't think it is a show stopper necessarily. Talk to your tire experts.
