Thanks for all the great advice and opinion! I'll definitely post pics on arrival but it's going to be a long 3 months.

c4s or turbo

This is a little off topic, but I can't find a decent thread... c4s or turbo in snow?! I'm looking for a new daily driver; I live in the Lake Tahoe area (300+ inches of snow/yr), so I need awd (don't worry, I have a 4runner for when it gets really deep!). I'm really torn between the c4s and turbo. I've always loved NA, but something about all that low-end torque, and the overall numbers of the Turbo gets me all giddy. My main consideration is snow perfomance/safety; of course, no matter what, the car will be wearing winter tires for the season. I wonder if Turbo lag is a concern? I like the idea of a C4S having more precise throttle response, for hairy situations...but, what of the Turbo's manners? I am in the early stages of deciding; would like to get the car this summer. Looking at '07-'08 997s. Will be driving both before I buy of course, but interested to know what anyone thinks.

Go Turbo.. they both have similar clearance and AWD (although I think the C4S's is 50/50 split whereas the turbo's is not). I drive my in the snow sometimes and its awesome.

The C4S would be the better choice for extreme snow conditions. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dFo0...layer_embedded

yrralis1- Thanks very much for the youtube link. Why is the 4S a better candidate in more extreme snow conditions? Is it b/c the 4S in NA, or is it b/c of a difference between the 4S and Turbo's awd hardware?

Just got a build completion date of June 16th. Dealer says car should be here approx 1 month after. So just in time for peak summer season!
