Just recently took mine for oil change and the porsche mechanic noticed it and change it out for a new unit and did the same for my shifter. I tried to get them to order the 2009 black verstion of climate control but they would not. Also, they have the Plasti Dip, rome5982 mentioned, in a Clearcoat and I am thinking about spraying mine off for future protection.

 

this was replaced by the 4 year warranty. they replaced the entire unit. kinda of a overkill but or well...instead of econ it says AC OFF :-)
