You do realize the bottom side of the factory air intake box has a port underneath the intake filter on both sides, That will allow the intake to draw hot air from within the engine bay. I guess you could block it off but i just run a stock air box.

No, it’s been a while since I’ve taken a careful look and did not realize that this is the case with the stock airbox. If this is so, it makes the EVOMS even more attractive to me, especially if configured to draw cold air from both sides of the deck.

Hello,Pete &

does the EVOMS airbox kit come with the filter and sock, or, do you have to buy these separately?

I’ve emailed EVOMS, but have received no reply.

It will come with the Filter - pre-oiled in a plastic bag. The hydrophobic pre-filter you'd have to buy separately.

Regarding the filter, if you get a new one from Evoms or after you clean and reoil an old one with K&N recharge kit, stuff it with paper towels and then to a couple circumferences with paper towels around the outside and let it sit that way for a few hours (even overnight is OK). The goal is to have the towels soak up any excess filter oil that has been applied. This is what messes up MAF sensors, but using this process, I've never replaced a MAF and run K&N filters on all my vehicles, 5 of which have MAF sensors.

If you are considering the Fabspeed cold air-intake please review my thread here. I believe the gain on this upgrade is minimal and there are alternatives.

I have the EVOMS Intake and IPD standard plenum and I noticed significant improvement. Fabspeed X-Pipe sport cats are going on next.
