sorry to bump this thread, but for those of you that dump the clutch at high RPMs, have you experienced the probelm where the clutch gets stuck partially disengaged (not fully released even though your foot is no longer on the clutch?)

^ I think that is clutch slippage. I haven't experienced this with my C2S as I am a newbie to the P-car (only owned it a few months), but in other cars this is either due to the clutch being too hot after repeated launches and clutch drops, or a worn out clutch.

Agreed. At the drag strip we always know a little wheel spin is better then a bog.

Excessive wheel hop is B.A.D. on axles, stubs, ect.

deactivate the stability control (PSM)

Run the engine to 5,500 RPM

Release the clutch very near it's engagement point while simultaneously
flooring the throttle.

split second of wheelspin and three or 4 shuddering wheel hops from the axle tramp

be ready to shift into second at 6,500 rpm because it revs so fast it
may hit the limiter at 7,400

shift into second gear and record a sub 4 second et.

They also remarked that they have done this several times with a c2s "with no apparent effect", but then they don't have to pay for a new clutch, either.

Still-- sub 4 seconds et to 60 MPH. Awesome. I might have to do it once in my life. I have hit the limiter though on several occasions......

Sub 4 seconds? Was this on a Turbo???

Speaking of which, I am having horrible time launching 997TT. The damn clutch is really hard for me to master/control. The springing action makes it difficult not to just drop the clutch and aim for smoother launch. What am I doing wrong?

Also, what does disabling PSM do? I've always had PSM on.

Thanks!

Not normal; happened to me - was a defective slave cylinder in a new 2010 C2S

It was for a 2009 C2S. Here is the article: http://www.caranddriver.com/features...nd_pdk-feature
