57K miles; internet price starts at 50K. One owner. Slate Grey over Black. No warranty.

That said, disregarding price, would anybody consider buying this w/ so many miles? This would be a DD and I would most likely not upgrade it; would spend that money on maintenance or more important things.

Thanks.

Seems a little high, especially without being CPO'd. Just my two cents.

I'd pass on it at that price w/out CPO.

Yeah the price is too high; that's why I am wondering if an offer of 45K or less would be appropriate. Maybe even 40K.

Pretty high mileage. I see this car around 44-46k. That this one is not CPO, nor has it warranty makes it perhaps less.
A would pay for a CPO 2006 2S perhaps around 50k with 35.000mls...

Another one:

2006 Carrera S
$50K
40K miles
Bose Sport Chrono (I think; it has that little clock on the dash)

Do you think this can be had for a little lower?

Yes. I picked up my C2 with ~28XXX miles, CPO, sports chrono (more than just the stopwatch on the dash!), factory nav, bose, sports steering wheel, 19" Carrera II wheels and new PS2s for just under $50K.

My gut tells me not more than $44K for the first, and probably similar for the second (you didn't list the options though).

Second car:

"This vehicle has a 3.8L H6 engine and a manual transmission. It includes Bose High End Sound Package, Power Seat Package,Heated Seats,Sport Chrono Pkg and more,,,"

I am still thinking about the first one, despite the miles. It'll be cheaper and i like the color combo better (grey on black vs. black on black). But if anybody can think of a price for the second one that'd be great too.

I'll offer 43 for the first one and see what happens from there; gonna go there in a few minutes.

Lot of miles. Big risks without CPO. Probably better off going '05 with less miles and as others have suggested, even CPO. 997's service at 20k mile intervals, so a 60k service is probably due and that will be expensive. Check tires as well. A 997 as a DD could use rear tires every 10k. THey are great cars, just be aware of the costs. Bigger thing with higher mileage is the likelihood the car will need a clutch, particularly with you heavy LA traffic. Clutch probably runs you $1800.

I got my 2006 C2S Cab with 32,000 miles and CPO for $52,000 just recently. I'm too much of a coward to buy a used Porsche without a warranty.

Nope.
I looked at the San Diego listings in your price range. These cars got a second look.

Larry, those were some good finds. I would be itching to look at the 1st one with the carbon fiber pkg... Better miles on both listings than the OP.

I found even better cars last month . Akim bought one by coincidence. I had recommended the car to another forum member . In fact each car that got my second glance is no longer listed (sold).

The one I looked at yesterday was pretty nice but way overpriced. The lowest they'd go was 47K. I told them I could find one in Torrance w/ nearly the same options (the other car I said above) w/ almost 20K less miles for almost the same price.
