Got the car back from the dealer, he said the only way to make the car beep is to leave something on/open then it will beep....glovebox open/ lights on so on
there is no other way for the DEALER to program it.

My dealer said the same thing.

I am resolved if I want this done, then I need to do the SmartTop Remote Key module.

I wonder if we could get Vivid to do a group buy. I think they're cooking one up for the Cab one.

If they're game, we just need to see if we can piggyback onto that group buy or if we need to start a new one -

I read somewhere that in some countries (like Mexico), the beep is mandatory and if the computers country is set different than USA it should work. Has anyone heard and/or seen the same?

Its a Porsche and we have to live with it. Performance Trumps Comfort. Its just me being me and my logic saying 100K and I have to remember to shut off the head light switch!
My Corvette C6 had good seat memory that automatically moved the seat back on exit and forward on entry. The car automatically locked when I walked away from the car and unlucked automatically when I walked up to it. I miss those functionalities. Surely Porsche can do as well.

Oh that's interesting. Do you think there's some glitch with the glovebox open/close sensor so your car thinks it's always open?

Today my car beeped when I locked it. LOL the drivers side door had not closed all the way. You see, the Warning is good to have and also a Car Locked Beep would be good. If you a doing a workaround with leaving the Glove Box (or similar) open, you wont know if you really leave something open.

With the remote key, it will beep twice when locking, unless you didn't close something then it will beep 3 times (just a FYI)

No answer back yet. I've asked here (sort of, and don't expect them to be reading this thread, so maybe strike this one), and in their thread on the Cab feature, and I sent a msg to them yesterday on their profile. Just so you know I'm not slacking off...

Maybe I'll try and call them today

Thanks for your effort!

I need the one that is compatible with the 997.1 coupe.

Thanks again!

Steve
