I'd be interested if they ever came out with a Targa Roof aware smarttop module.

 

Send them an Email. It all depends on if the option you are looking for is CAN Bus.

 

@GIjbop - there is definitely something wrong with your glovebox sensor. It's probably saying that the glove box is open even though it's not. I found this out when one day I left the glove box open and heard a chirp when I locked the car.

What I don't get is why in the world would Porsche remind you that the glove box is open when it doesn't want to tell you that your car is locked or not...?

 

BTW there is no separate key for the Glove Box.

perhaps...but im just going to leave it as is. glove box works fine and the chirping is great when it locks.

 

Just installed the Remote Key in my 997.1. Programmed it at the computer before installation and all functions seem to work fine except that it beeps 3 times rather than 2 when locking (per installation instructions). Has anyone had this happen?

Figure out that the trunk was open. Beeps twice now that the trunk is closed.

PS I love the trunk delay now also

 

Great to hear that it worked and that there is a way to know that something is left open with Remote Key.
