OK. I'm feeling the need to blow some cash.
There is a really nice 944 Turbo in the new Panorama w less than 16k original miles, listed at $17,500.
For not much less I could add the new TPC Turbo kit to my 2008 C2 Cab.
I've always loved the 944s but upkeep and maintenance on a 23 yo car don't thrill me.
But by adding the TPC turbo and voiding my Porsche warranty and CPO, that is a huge liability too.
Thoughts?

Please don't do it . The 944 Turbo wa the first Porsche I ever had . It was the most problematic car i ever had . Everything broke. In fact --it took me years to buy another Porsche afterwards and as a result my first 911 was bought when I was 35. I was only 26 when I got the 944.
The water pump, two blown Turbos . one even blew while the technicians repaired it and were test driving it.
The Turbo lag in the car is pitiful .
Don't --I repeat --Don't!!!!!!!!

I've had an '86 944 Turbo since 1987. Only problems have been a replaced steering rack, clutch and motor mounts. Everything else has been typical maintenance items. Not bad for over 23 years of fun. Got a 997S Cab last September, now my wife is enjoying the 994T. Like every vehicle, have a pro inspect it, drive it and if it suits you, buy and enjoy it.
Change your wheel bolts and the dealer will deny a clutch claim,LOL!
My first phone call when I decided to do FI was phone the dealer and see what a new motor would cost....WORSE case scenario!
Then after getting to know a few of the people from these forums with FI set-ups...and how many miles they have logged with them, with zero issues...I was comfortable with my decision to FI my car.YES you hear this and that about a motor that went or an IMS bearing that MAY have gone due to the FI set-up.......but until I see it first hand,I am not a believer that 5 PSI of boost will cause you grief, unless your car already HAS a weak point!
Where it GETS confusing for you IS.....that CPO warranty is worth some 'Money'....
Do you plan on keeping the car beyond that warranty?
IF so and IF you do the TPC turbo, will you keep the car for a long while after?
IF yes to those two questions....then,my friend,I would do the FI!
It transform the car and makes it a ton of fun to drive !
IMO...no better 'Bang-for-the-buck' !
AND for the added costs of operating TWO cars(maintenance,insurance,etc)...you could afford some service time IF something wasn't covered under warranty!
GL with your decision.....and keep us posted!
OH and BTW......once you take a hit of the 'Go-fast-crack-pipe'......there is NO turning back and you always want more!
TRUST ME...I KNOW first hand!

Very trueI just love the looks of that car. I always keep my eyes open for one floating around.
It was a DD but given the amount of time in the shop it was more like a garage queen in service .
Thanks for the thoughtful responses.
The TPC turbo is tempting but I hate to void the warranty. It's impractical enough to buy a $100,000 piece of machinery and expose it to sandstorms, rocks, potential vandals, hail, and the forces generated by a 3300 lb machine hurtling down the road at 100 miles per hour. But to spend another $13000 and knowingly void out any warranty issues even remotely related to the engine is really pushing the impracticality envelope.
I should probably just save my money for the impending nuclear winter. Maybe $13000 could buy some jugs of water and a few days worth of beenie weenies. And maybe a bb gun.
