Do any of you have any feedback about Sloan Motors outside of New Haven? Seem to have a nice selection of 993s.

 

IMHO anything I have seen is clean.....alittle pricey but clean. I purchased a 993 through holtmotorsports and had a good dealing....so good they bought my car back when I wanted to get the 997

 

Some of the best Porsches in the country are consigned and sold trough his place.
Good guy, knows his stuff. You get what you pay for.

Looks like I'm going to be purchasing one of the more mundane versions - the black and grey 1995 coupe with 34,499 mi.
As much as I love my 997, I don't think I'm going to sleep well until I scratch this itch for the 993, what seems like the Holy Grail of Porsche. Might not like it much, but it feels like something I need to do.

 

The car looks amazing on the site.
I had a 993 and a 993tt and to this day I miss them.
Seeing the cars brings back so many memories of my first 911 .
Wait until you sit in it . You'll see .. the doors shut with this awesome clunk sound. The leather is well made enough to last ages. The classic 5 dials jump right out at you along with the 1960's style dash . The offset pedals and the air cooled sound .. man !!! oh man!!!
You open the engine bay and it's built by hand .

I don't know if you ever saw this .The beginning part drags a bit --don't let the monotone voice lose your interest.

Porsche made a package called "motor sound package" . It was available I believe in 1996 but it can be retrofitted into the 95 car because i added it to my car . It wasn't expensive and is the predecessor to "sport exhaust: found today . The car will sound like that !!

One other thing I did to my 993 was that the car came either with 16 in wheels or 17 as an upgrade. Mine came with 16 so i upgraded to the 17 in OEM wheel .
