Week from hell.....starts off with a week at a cottage with in-laws who don't like me....that was fun....

Followed by my Xbox Live account getting hacked twice in one week...can't figure that one out but Microsoft Xbox Live people tell me this is common

Topped off by an issue with a fellow board member who didn't pay his shipping (he gave me his UPS account to use....and didn't pay the bill for it) for an 997 ashtray i gave him back in december...and now since they haven't been able to collect from him they've come after me and now i have to deal with a collection agency after he told me he took care of it multiple times and I've been trying to reach this member over and over again with no luck....

And all that stress melted away after a nice drive in my 911 this morning, driving down winding roads, windows open & sunroof open listening to my wonderful Cargraphic music.....someone needs to bottle this stuff!!

Just can't explain it,,,,,but all i can think of is the drive, the handling and the sound, and how i feel like i'm 10 years old again starring at my 911 poster on my wall and using a plate as a steering wheel driving down the road....with the window open of course

After close to 50,000 miles this car still give me the same feeling I had the day I got it.

Man i'm lucky.........

 

Ha!.. been there!.. no more..

Perhaps you should apploy for a personal plate that reads, "THERAPY"

1) I have a very simple rule which applies to everyone (friends , family, and anyone else) --I don't visit without getting my own hotel space .

By going to the cottage you basically became an active participant in yoir own unhappiness . If you paid to go there then you even funded your own misery.

In fact --next time they invite you this experience could be the point where you declare no more . You don't owe your peace of mind to ANYONE.

There are those who do not understand . I don't care . My peace of mind requires those boundaries.


2) Don't share accounts with ANYONE. Pay the bill . Tell that forum member that you hope his rip off was worth losing a possible friendship in you .. then move on.

3) Enjoy that Porsche!!!!!!

 

lol...thanks..I did it for my wife but i was sure everytime we went out in the boat to fish that i wasn't coming back!! at least it wasn't in one cottage, everyone had their own

as for the fellow member,,,didn't even really know him, i just kept getting reassured that he spoke to UPS and everything was ok, then i'd get the calls again and go through the same dance with him. Now that it's gotten to this point and he's ignoring me (but he still finds time to post here) I've just ended up paying it myself......$120 bill for a free ashtray i gave someone...lesson learned

anyways....time for another session with my therapist Dr 911..

 

1) It's good that you learned with only a 120 dollar experience that when it comes to business .. no buddies.. no sharing..

UNLESS you are giving a gift.

2) I thought you were all in the same cottage .. but yanno what .. your wife must have seen how this effected you and even she may reach the point where she realizes that its better for you to disengage . Her parents mean a lot to her but so do you and having this tug of war with her in the middle isn't even good for her .

Ultimately she married you and that may mean planning time with her family in a manner which is more peaceful fior all of you (even the in laws -- they may not have had fun either).

The cottage trip simply may have been too much .
Lesson learned for the next time for all you guys.

I had bought some stuff from this guy before with no issues, long story short as i have waaayy to many extra parts in my garage i gave him a 997 ashtray, used the UPS account he gave me and moved on....turns out if you don't pay your UPS fees they come after the other party.....lesson learned. What make this REALLY frustrating, is this person owns a shipping store.....go figure. He used to respond to my emails saying he spoke to them and everything was ok and to ignore the calls as he had resolved everything. When the collection agency didn't stop calling and started calling relatives with my last name I got pissed....and now he's ignoring me.....but still posts online. Can't figure it out, it's not like it's a lot of money....$120 bucks!!!

Turn on Xbox,,,get message 'your profile has been move to another Xbox'. Then i looked online at my profile and it said i was in Nigeria....that was followed by a phone call to my house by some punk laughing saying 'have fun with you xbox live lately'
They recovered my account only to have it done a week later

No, it was overnight to California in December, close to xmas, so shipping plus customs i guess

The guy is a respected member here so i don't want to start anything over $120. Hopefully he reads this and decides to pay me back the $120 that i now have to pay to these guys to protect my credit.

i don't think he's a bad guy, but i can't understand why he's ignoring my emails (he's still actively posting online)

The moral of my thread was more about the therapeutic properties of my 911
