Tire Help
Tire Help
I need some help determining tire size, type and season! I've done searches on here and read a lot on Pirelli PZero vs. PS2 and I think I'm going to try the PZeros this time.
I live in Nashville, TN. We don't get snow and it's usually not below 45 degrees in the winter. Do you think I can get away with using summer tires year round? Or is it worth the extra money for winter tires?
Also I have an '09 C4S Cab with 19" Carrera Classic Wheels and 5mm Spacers. What tire size do I need, front and rear?
Thanks in advance!

I used to live in Nashvegas too...summer tires are fine. You should get the same stock size that came on the C4S
235-35-19 front
305-30-19 rear
33psi cold front
39 psi cold rear
Have the car aligned too....! Makes a huge difference in tire wear....make toe to minimum specs around .02 to zero degrees front and no more than .16 degrees rear...try for .12 degrees but not less than that and at least -.8 camber front and no more than -1.3 camber rear. Have your guy dial in each side to perfection. This will work great for the street and spirited drives.

Tech will understand....if you track your car you could dial in more camber but a stock 997 with PASM will have max camber at around -1 degrees away.
My car came stock with the PS2's and now I have the Bridgestone RE050A's and I love them. If you haven't already decided, throw these into the mix. They're good.

Everyone needs to be aware that there are NEW PZeros. They are N2 rated. They have been getting good reviews so I just put on a set. Too early to tell if I'll be happy with them but at about $350 less than PS2's it was worth a shot.
So far I haven't put 'em to the test yet so we'll see.
I too had the OLD PZeros on a previous Carrera and did not like them. Switched to PS2's and was much happier. But the reviews I've seen on the NEW PZero's along with the price delta convinced me to give 'em a try. I'll report more after I have a few miles on them. We're looking at a HWY 1 to Monterey run next month so that should be a good opportunity to feel them out.
