Mobridge

On the fence about installing a mobridge in a 2008 C2S. Anyone have real life experiences with it.

Email me if you need info on Dension - feature rich, retains cd changer if desired, ease of use, etc. Mobridge is a good product as well.

i have mobridge and like it pretty well. dension or etc. - all those products are quite the same, just get one depending for what best price you can find one.

sometimes mobridge units surface up on ebay for peanuts - that is where i got mine, for $550 or so. do not remember now. it does both ipod and bluetooth so you do not have to install 2 units as with some other solutions. mount in behind glovebox for good bluetooth reception, if you mount it in a trunk it may be not very stable if you keep your phone in your pocket. but before you mount it there - make sure it works and pairs with your PCM well!

Mobridge

I have Mobridge and it works well with one caveat. The iPod interface on the via the PCM is dreadful. I don't like it at all. You can however "unlock" the interface and control the music straight from the ipod, which is outstanding - provided you run the ipod line to the armrest for ease of access.

Got the Dension from Eric here on 6speed - the place to go. Cheaper than the Mobridge - who needs the bluetooth(buy a headset). The PCM interface with the Dension is crap as well, but it's functional once you figure it out and gives you all of the song titles in advance on a list on shuffle if you want. BumperPlugs is the place to go.

Ipod works an dis displayed on the PCM screen
My Sirius Radio works through the AUX (Displayed on the Sirius control head)

I have one, it works fine, but as noted above, the Ipod control is clunky

I totally disagree. bluetooth is the most convenient feature when your music playback stops and you hear you do receive a call. with just phone or headset i personally simply do not hear my phone ringing plus i hate headsets and never keep one mine on all the time, only when I need to talk.

ipod control`s design are the same on dension and mobridge - limitation is not in the unit but in the pcm. you will need either to create proper set of playlists or organize your music some other way. in my ipod i just select 'artist' and then it plays all albums under that artist. not extremely convinient but works for me well enough as most albums i dropped there are 'best hits' or similar.
