Ordering question - Wheels painted black...

I'm about to pull the trigger on a basalt black 997 CS4 (today or monday I am ordering).

Wheel choice has been my toughest decision.

Can anyone discuss the 19" Turbo Wheel painted in black? Do they (can they) paint it in matte/eggshell black. It seems like a gloss black would look be too high gloss like a DIY Krylon job. I wanted a more matte effect like this photo illustrates.

(in the photo below they MAY BE gloss and the lighting is just weird..thoughts?)

Thanks guys.

There have been a number of people that have finished there wheels in a matte black, I agree that an all gloss will not look as good as a matte black on a black car.

Wish I had black wheels on my black 997.2... but here's another thought, if you go with black, what color are the brake calipers? I'm thinking Guards Red calipers would set the wheels off oh so nice

My 994 4S came with a set of 19' factory black wheels. I really like them and they complement my ride. I have since upgraded the 20'. If anyone has a set of non-black factory wheels for a 4S, id be happy to trade with them.

Looks great^^ Powder coating it nice and durable. I wonder what process Porsche factory uses when they say "wheels painted black"
