Any 997S owners here put on the sprint booster and still on it? If not, why did you get rid of it? Thanks.

Mine is a gen.1 997S with no sport chrono package auto trans and in D mode, and especially in the lower rev range, there can be lag from going down from higher to lower gears.

Feedback appreciated and thanks in advance.

i don't think the sprintbooster helps in speeding up downshifting in auto tranny cars

That's probably true. I guess what I mean is the overall lag issue even in the same gear. Don't quite know how to explain it.

You would get the same results using the sport mode on your car. If your car doesn't have the Sport Chrono option, but Softronic and have them program a more responsive throttle, that is all the Spirit Booster does.

believe the term you are looking for is throttle response, in which case, sprintbooster can indeed help with that

Thanks. Yes, my car does NOT have the short chrono sport mode and the lag issue while not major is niggling. I read about softronic but at 2.5 to 3 times the cost, I thought the sprint booster could help with this. I know softronic does more and adds some to a NA in terms of HP and torque.

997.1 with sprint booster

I am very pleased with the sprint booster in my base 997 6sp mt without the sports chrono. The "instant" throttle response actually jerks my body backward giving the feeling of more HP. Enjoying the car much more. Saving $ over a software upgrade.

That's exactly where i'm at. I like the Sprint Booster for what it is, it just makes driving "feel" more fun.

It is similar to the improved throttle response gets when you have the Sport Mode on.
