Any music lovers?

This is an odd topic, but its Friday afternoon...

Don't you feel like your car's personality matches certain music?

Example: driving BMWs while listening to house music feels right. There is something techy about it all.

Once I started driving the 911, I dusted off (literally) a lot of classic rock n roll I hadn't listened to in years. The 911 driving experience is uncomplicated and grass roots authentic. Also, I roll down the windows and open the roof whenever possible in the 911, whereas I never roll down the windows in a BMW - it spoils your splendid isolation...

These car personalities also effect my driving style. I drive other cars much more rambunctiously than I do my 911.

Just curious if anyone else has similar feelings about their car's personality?

I usually listen to classic rock aka The Bridge, or the Outlaw channel, but in the 911 Cab I frequently find myself listening to loud symphony music with the top down. It gets pretty busy with wind noise, noise from other cars, and loud rock and roll. The flowing sounds of symphony music are not so complicated or busy that they can't be made out over the other noises.

Tool. But then again, I listen to Tool in every car, at home, and at work.

Yes I do... when I had my Z06, my favorite tune to blast when I opened the electric cutouts on the exhaust was "Barracuda/Heart".

As for my 911.... I dunno, seems like anything by Maroon 5 seems to fit. If you really listen to their music, its quite technical and refined with the changes in tempo and dramatic pauses, etc... Not over the top muscle rock that seemed to suit my Z06.

That's my take and interests in music anyways.... YMMV.
