Golf Clubs in 997

I've seen owners state that a set of golf clubs can fit into a 997. However I would like to see exactly how the clubs and bag can fit into a cabriolet with the top up.

Pictures anybody?

..and your passenger/opponent sits in the rear seats cramping up? Good 1st tee strategy.

Sorry, just kidding.

But you might consider it if there's a lot of money on the match.

you have to put the top down, remove your woods, load the golf bags in the back seat, it will hold 2 sets if you have a porsche bag or a smaller ogio (it will hold 2 bags), next have your passenger hold the woods (no other place for them) than put your top back up

than your done!

ps i have a nice porsche bag for sale if u need one for cheap

Sell your golf clubs and buy a helmet... your driving instructor will be plenty comfortable in the passenger seat!

Post a pic when you get it sorted out.
Always fun to see various creative uses for the car.

Considering some of the people I play golf with, a helmet is probably a good idea.

Top up-- have back seat "backs" folded down to create a ledge/shelf. Take out longer clubs (driver, 3wood), fold passenger seat forward, slide bag with clubs (regular walking bag in my case) behind passenger seat onto ledge/shelf, put longer clubs behind front seats or in passenger foot well. If you are concerned about the shelf carpet getting worn put down a towel or something before sliding your bag in.

Top down or partially open-- most of the above but just drop the bag down on the shelf.

Really easily to partially lower the top for access and then close when done.

In a coupe, put them in the passenger seat, but then you really can't take a passenger. If you need to take a passenger and one or two sets of clubs, you really need a different car. If you have a cab, you can get them in the back, with the long clubs up front with the passenger. All has already been said, I suppose.
I store my bag at my club, and never really need to worry about it. Also, i always meet up with folks at the course we're playing, vs car-pooling. Because of these two factors (storing clubs and driving separately), its never an issue, but I do have other cars if we ride together.

I can squeeze my bag into the back, if I move the passenger seat forward......but I always seem to scuff up the roof liner or other soft bits of the interior...........As If i'm not punished enough on the course. @#$@#

I bring extra towels to wrap around the bag and a small bucket for all the loose stuff dangling off my bag (dirty goose poop towel, club head brush, divot tool, tee-clip, etc.)

u can fit two reg bags without any problems in to a cabriolet.. not sure about the large Tour bags..

1- top down.. SmarTop helps ALOT.

2- (optional) put seats in forward recline position using

3- carefully lay a golfbag (without the woods) on the rear seats.. use the contours of the seat to lay ur bag flat sideways.

3b- if necessary, lay the second bag on top of the first one, but reversing the top/bottom, so they lay the opposite way.

4- put seats back in normal pos if u popped it into the forward recline pos earlier.

5- put the woods diagonally behind the front seats, wedging it loosely between the seat and the bag.

5b- for the second set of woods, u can do it from the other seats.. creating a X

6- close top.

with a single bag, i can drive with the top down without any issues whatsoever.

the process sounds long but i can pop in my bag into my car in 10-15 seconds (not counting the opening/closing.. with a Smartop, its already opening as i am approching the car anyways )

in a coupe, i believe u can put the bag in the front passenger seat..

There is definitely no good way to do this. Removing clubs from the bag to get it to fit is not a legitimately suggestion.

Clubs

One bag or two, top up, top down..no problem.

The key is folding down the back seats, removing the woods and laying them diagonally behind the front seats. I've easily fit two sets with drivers.
