Alarm Question

08 997.1 C2:
Does anyone know of an additional module to the factory alarm to add a shock sensor?
I just had my Headlights stolen from the front of my house. The car has the factory alarm, but no shock sensor. I was told that there might be an add-on available.

Really? I've never heard of this - almost looks like some sort of prank! Sorry to hear this happened. I know there are plenty of aftermarket alarms with shock and even proximity sensors, and my guess is you could use an aftermarket system in parallel as a supplement to the factory alarm. I'd suggest calling your local auto electronics specialist. I see you're in Miami, so there should be plenty of these high-end auto electronics/stereo boutiques that could offer better advice.

Thank you for your replies. I’m familiar with the aftermarket stuff, but was looking for something that would not need an additional key fob. Maybe something in parallel might work. I get the car back tomorrow, so I will use my Rottweiler s for now.

I'm shocked & Awed. Unbelievable the depths that people will sink to. Hopefully they didn't scratch up the car when they yanked'm out.

Unfortunately this is old news especially for the 997 since it's intro in 2005 - seems to occur frequently in the Miami area.

Scratches where minor, apparently they knew what they were doing, but there was some. Police got some prints off the car. Hopefully they will catch them. I’m in a low crime area and I also have gates and have a few guns. They must have really wanted them.

Still waiting for the DEI part info, but will call and update tomorrow. Based on their web site, it looks like it is possible.

Also, got a 5% discount (via:email) for doing the on line registration. Will advise how it goes. Also comes with the wiring diagram.

Got the shock sensor, but no wiring diagram. Does anyone have an alarm schematic for a 2008 997.1 c2?

This is what came with the sensor (also a sorry note that they did not have the diagram):
