I'm looking for a pair of unmodified cans for my '08 (S or non-S). Would you be interested in selling your old ones?

Steven

Hey AKC4S,
Let me know if you find someone in Dallas to do it. I was about to do it myself (you get to keep the tools that way). But...... My wife might throw me in the bin if she catches me cutting up my Porsche with a torch. And my welding skills are...um... novice level at best.

Found a guy in Dallas: Ricky at FithGear in Lewisville
http://fifthgear.biz/
He has not done it before but seemed interested in trying it. He did not think it would be at all difficult. I used his shop to do a clutch rebuild on my 997.1S. They did a great job.
You might want to show him the pics.
Good luck.

Ok, the update.
Just got back from seeing Ricky, (nice guy and clean shop) He definitely can do it, but he will need the car for the most part of the day because he has to wait until the mufflers cool down, so I will get this hack done on next Tuesday when I have time... He said it will be around $300 is that about right.
seems right to me.
