I like the look of the rear spoiler up, is there any way of making it stay in the up position so I don't have to push the button every time I drive it ?

Also I am trying to figure this out, sometimes I put the spoiler in the up position, then park and it stays up but then I start the car on my next drive and it comes down so I need to push the button again ... my question is sometimes it actually stays up and doesn't come down on the next drive ...

Why would it stay up once in a while and then sometimes goes down after I park and restart again ...

There is not much in the manual about this ... TIA

I am afraid there is no way to set it to stay up as default. The default setting is down and once you restart the car, the default setting kicks in (eg: spoiler is down).

Maybe there is a fuse I can pull ? ?

Not sure if the fuse has other functions but maybe someone here knows ?

Any particular reason why you want to keep it up.. (gotta be careful how you ask that one..).. "it" being the spoiler..

I think the car is telling you something.

I like to mod
I like to change a lot of things on a 997 but that's one I would recommend leaving alone....

Thanks for those who responded, what is strange about the directions below is it says nothing about the spoiler lowering itself when in Manual mode.

If ,while the spoiler is up in manual mode, you exceed the factory set deployment speed, the spoiler retruns to automatic mode and returns to the down position once your speed goes under 37 MPH.

Thank you for letting me know this ... it seems though when I don't hit the deployment speed it automatically goes down after I park and then restart.

While parked it stays in the up position, it is when I actually restart the car, it then goes down.

I disagree with you. I like driving with it up all the time.

Handy if you want to clean around there. It goes down for a reason. Some think it looks cool up at low speed or stopped, but that's green mode - and I don't mean in an environmentally responsible sort of way.

If your spoiler stays up for more than 4 hours, call Dr. Porsche.
