Just wondering. I'm going through mine pretty quickly

 

At 13K and I need to replace my rear PS2s.

 

Have 22k on the original tires. Need replacing in the next 1 to 2k miles.

 

I've gone through two sets in 14k miles.

 

wow - what tires? I think mine will probably go to 12K or so - 15 if I am really lucky, and that has been about as good as I have done with Pilot Sports on past cars.

 

when you start using r-comps for both track and street you will simply stop conting miles and start counting days.

Take out the neg camber and toe and drive it slow and you will get great tire wear.

I prefer max camber aggresive toe settings and drive her hard and i dont worry about changing tires.

Yeah the original from the factory. I do drive it hard on the streets, but most of my miles are on the freeway. I have a 25mile commute each way to work and 23 of the miles are on the freeway.

 

and slide a lot. I'm not really complaining about the tire wear was just wondering if I was getting close to what everyone else was. I kind look at tires basically like gas, just something you use and replace.

I've yet to track my car, but I only got a half of a track day out of my last set of tires on my bike and that kinda sucked, but it was extremely hot out and it was an open track all day

 

STREET use only,Pirelli P-zeros and some really good FI horsepower and I managed 9,000 miles!

I put ~ 9,000 on my latest 'summer' tires on the rears (PS's) before I pulled them off. BTW - My left and right rears were wearing at slightly different rates...but there was no sense in buying 1 shaved tire to get another month out of them. Both my fronts have ~ another 10,000 left.

I like to slide it a little, too.

 

I'm down to threads at less than 8k.

 

That's probably my issue - I push it through the corners a little too aggressively for max tire life. No tracking, just around town, but mostly off the highway. No way I'll make it to the 20s - fronts will last forever...

 

With my '08 C2, I got 22K miles from my RE050, front and rear. Daily driver, NO track days.

With my '09 C2S, daily driver with 3 DE days, I got 15K from my rear RE050's and 20 from the front set.

With the '09 C2s, next set of RE050 rears, I got 5K miles. The difference? 4 DE and 4 A-X days. I'm now running P Zero N2's, and doubt they'll last as long as the Bridgestones.

If you're going to have fun with the car, you're going to use up the tires in a hurry. I don't think there's any way around it.
