42 feet of airborne travel + 35 feet up in the air gives new meaning to Launch Control!

as remarkable as the airtime is, what stands out to me is that he was (also) charged with "failure to wear a seat belt". ... ... ...are you KIDDING ME??? a crash like that and he walks away despite not wearing a seatbelt??? wow.

Cool

This is the really scary part to me......

"Police are also trying to analyze a control box inside the sports car that will tell them exactly how fast the vehicle was traveling before it became airborne, Cotto said"

Big Brother is watching your every move.

Thanks Captain Obvious.

Ok....so I've been concerned for over a decade now.

Having my trusty car testify against me sucks.

It has actually helped me out.

It prevents arguments between service departments and customers.

Holy cow, there has to be a hill or embankment we can't see in that photo. Awesome.

And a secondary observation, what a ******. Drinking and driving.

There is a really obvious solution to the problem of speeding....

Don't crash

Doesn't help the publics perception of Porsche owners much. Makes you want to sell your Porsche and get a giant SUV, crash into a house and destroy the publics perception of giant SUV drivers so you can go buy another Porsche.

Cripes

Blood alcohol @ .20, 42 feet airborne, on a residential street, in CT, in January.
The rough equivalent of firing an AK 47 into the mall on the Saturday before Christmas.

Jacks up my car insurance. Jacks up my homeowners insurance. Jacks up my taxes when the courts have to deal with the guy.

Trapped for 40 minutes in the car upside down?
If it was my house, I'm really not sure I'd have let the rescue squad on my property for a couple of days.
Maybe not then.

Fair point, that's good to remember.
And probably helps if/when some other jack*** plows into my car.

Probably wouldn't work so well for anyone who just happened to be walking down that sidewalk minding their own business.
Apparently a leased car BTW. Nice.

OK, who wants to bet how long it takes before this car is on e-bay and some one posts, "Do you know this car? The PPI and DME seem clean."
