Please help a Newbie out

I finally think I have found the 911 I have been looking for. It being sold at a non Porsche dealer.. Its a 09 . Is there a way to find out the service records and and other relevant info on the car site unseen? Thanks in advance for any advice.

If it's mine...ask me (see my sig below).

1) service records
2) porsche dealer check on porsche service via VIN
3) PPI
4) ask forum member who may be local to check her out

Thanks. I am trying to get the service records. what is the best way to get a PPI? do i ask the dealer to bring it to the local Porsche dealer? Is there another service that does this?

Most dealers will be reluctant to release service records - they'll cite privacy concerns. However, a dealer should be able to tell you if there are any open service bulletins, etc. If you buy from the servicing dealer much easier to find out but it would be very unusual for a dealer to provide you that info for service done elsewhere. You don't have to use a Porsche dealer for a PPI - there are many great independents that can do it. Ask around.

Well you can get a Carfax from the VIN or an accomodating dealer might be able to get you info...but don't count on that. Ask the seller for service info.
