Introduction; New C2S in the garage
Hello, this is my first post to introduce myself. I’ve been a lurker gathering knowledge on recent 911 models the past several months and took the plunge on New Years Day bringing home my first P-car, an ’07 997
This one is a ‘07 Cobalt Blue Metallic Carrera S 6MT w/21,000 miles and 4 months left on the original warranty. Thru the dealer, I added the CP0 which extends the warranty to July 2013. This should give me plenty of time to work the bugs out.
Option highlights include slate grey full leather, sport chrono plus, PSE, Bose, Nav, Turbo wheels, illuminated door sills and several interior pieces painted the exterior body color (door pull surrounds, “oh-crap" door grab bars, center console and radio surround. At first, when I saw the interior colored items, I thought it looked a bit tacky but now I love these options.
I bought this car after having my pristine ’05 350Z Track model totaled out when a woman ran a red light and took me out as I had just entered the intersection. My other DD is an ’00 BMW E39 540i which I’ll split driving miles with this Porsche. I figure, if I’m driving 70 miles RT to work each day, I want to enjoy that time in my vehicles and don’t want the miles to rack up too quickly on one, either. I’m driving the BMW 3 or 4 days/week and the 997 at least one or two days.
So far, I love this car. It’s the total package as far as I’m concerned. Nice balance of power, braking, handling and refinement. I live in a rural area and it’s a blast driving the back country roads. The interstate is only 20 miles away, half my commute is back roads and the other half interstate. I’m finally able to really enjoy the car with the nice temps in the 70s this week…

Congrats and props for posting pics. I <3 the color, turbo wheels and PSE. Have you noticed the SC adding any value to the 6MT? IIRC it helps with memory seat settings or something along that lines but I am curious whether you notice anything significant difference with the 6 speed.

Ok, I added an interior shot to my original post. I need to take some decent interior shots myself. This is one the dealer had sent me while we were working out a deal but you can see the factory mods as fas as the body colored items...
