See-ya is infamous around these parts
Front: 225/40ZR -18 Michelin Pilot Super Sport XL
Rear: 265/35ZR -18 Michelin Pilot Super Sport XL

Not 285s, but 265s. I took the car to the track finally and noticed that almost all the 996/997s in my group had the same tires and they were excellent. I have not whipped it in rain, but they were hoping it would rain, so we would have to do the DE in the rain and they also said that tires are great wet.
I don't know how many DEs they will take...but I am sure loving these tires.
Have you tried contacting Michelin directly?

It was suggested that the PSS was the way to go to replace my PS2s but TireRack doesn't list PSS in my size:

I don't even see PSS (Michelin Pilot Super Sport) as an option on TireRack for 18" wheel, 2009 Targa 4.

It looks like they don't exist in 295/35ZR18 size.

I found a thread in another forum that said that the Michelin PSS did not make that size (295/35ZR18), but it was an older post. I suggest you call them and they'll tell you for sure or maybe they don't stock them. TireRack staff is really helpful.

TireRack is okay, but I bought my PSS from Discount Tire. They are the only ones that will match or beat TireRack's price, as well as offer road hazard.
