We got our first 2011 Speedster in the other day and pictured it next to the 1954 Speedster we have on display. Enjoy.

Thank you for the great pictures. When you see them side-by-side like that, it is amazing how much more beautiful, pure, and elegant the 1954 car is. It is too bad that no manufacturer seems to be capable of that simplicity nowadays.

Both look fantastic, especially side by side. As for the new Speedster, love the wheels and I really like the nostalgic black fender guards.

Like the 'optional' white paint over the standard Speedster blue! Hey, is that a Sport Classic in the background?!?! Didn't think they were selling here in the U.S.? Maybe it's just an 'S' or 'GTS' with all the similar options?

ha ha ha - I owned a '55 1600 Super coupe (in Bavaria, on those wonderful back roads) - it was basically a quick, better sprung VW with an aerodynamic body - beautiful, pure, elegant ? I don't think so.

Why did I buy a 911? This picture says it all for me. After almost 60 years, the car still captures the same form and function as in 1954. What other car does that? No question, I want both! Great pic.
