MSRP was 100K. Let's have it boys (and girls). What would you pay (or offer) for a leftover 2010. Nice build sheet, need to add SC. It's a Carrera S.

TIA!

ill bite.

ive been looking around for 2010 c2s in the la area. if you can still find one (and not a cab) i would pay 80k or 20% off. ppl usually get around 8-10% off on currrent models, and they should double that to make the 2010 enticing. i would use that lack of sc as a major bargaining tool. just my .02

not sure I understand 'need to add SC' part. if it is a PDK car with no SC - i woould not buy it and not sure if they can 'add' SC option to it including PDK shifting programs that easily. If they can and it is negotiable, well, then it will depend of comparable sales in dealership area.

Sport Chrono can be added, just without the "wart". Look at Suncoast Parts website.

interesting. I assumed PDK ECUs on cars with SC are different from cars witout SC. how can additional PDK shifting program be in that add-on SC ECU?

but if it really works like this - good to know.

I think the PDK has it's own control software, it is reflashed in addition to the ECU. They use OEM Porsche software, has to be installed by the dealer. From everything I hear, it's the real deal. Labor depends on the options you have, more wiring if you have PSE or PASM. Many people think this is better than buying a car with SC, they don't like the look of the wart.

Good point. I guess what I am asking is what have others achieved in pricing on a leftover 2010 so I know what is out there.

This car is a 6-speed and yes SC can be added with full function but without the wart. I have already researched this.

I agree. You should be able to get 20% off. I was able to get a 2008CS ( sticker $94K) for $73K in the middle of 2009. True, there were some changes that came with the new models but with the 2010s coming out soon they needed to move that 2008. It also depends on what moves in your area. I bought mine out of state where folks were looking for cabs with full leather etc. Mine was relatively simple ( as I prefer ) and not selling.

quick question, why not wait for the new 991s?
The 991s will be bigger, more expensive I am sure, and with a longer wheelbase but I do not know what that will mean. Probably more comfortable but a bit less agile?

Just curious why SC is important to add on a 6 speed. I've never found a use for mine that I like. For example, I don't like the remapped throttle, and find the "chrono" functions complex and useless.

If you track the car you will find a benefit in the way PSM engages. The throttle map is better for the track as well. If you only use the car on the street I would agree that the revised map is a bit touchier when pulling away from a stop.

Utkinpol, Not only do you get the flash you also get a new switch panel with the appropriate switches.

I would not buy a 2010 leftover . If a dealership had it sitting on the lot for over a year they are stuck and own it . The car is worth UNDER invoice and there's no way they will sell it for that .

Many bring up the topic of how a garage queen is not ideal for the car but at least people who have a garage queen drive it occasionally rather than let it sit for a year . Furthermore a lot of shoppers had a chance to look at that car and didn't buy it.

A 100K car is not exactly squeezing pennies . In my opinion a buyer will never save enough to make the deal worthwhile over a current new car.

23,500 off a new car is pretty nice,If it was red i would of bought it..

best i can get dealer to do on a 2011 is about 7 grand off.

20k off is approx what the same 2010 is going for used

im curious to see what the GTS goes for in about 6 months as the used ones come on the market.
the couple I have seen already are dropping alot more then I thought they would..
made me change my mind on buying that car.
